Whole Community: Projects that Engage Beyond the Traditional Audience

2022

This presentation was created at the invitation of the California Association of Resource Conservation Districts to share how the Urban and Community Program I initiated was engaging new and often overlooked audiences. I designed the talk to work from the inside out – beginning with language, meaning, and reflection before moving into projects and examples. The design of the presentation was intentionally minimal with the slides serving as prompts allowing for presence and engagement rather than exhaustive explanation. My process aims to allow conservation efforts to emerge as expressions of wholeness in communities and landscapes, rather than isolated technical interventions, by centering on listening, relationship, and belonging.
